Square One Theater Presents - The Dining Room

A.R. Gurney’s classic play is set in the dining room of a typical well-to-do household, the place where the family assembled daily for breakfast and dinner and for any and all special occasions. The action is comprised of a mosaic of interrelated scenes — some funny, some touching, some rueful — which, taken together, create an in-depth portrait of a vanishing species: the upper-middle-class WASP.

Square One Theater Presents - LUNGS

Artistic Director Tom Holehan promises we’re going to finally get to produce this play for our 30th! The world is getting hotter, there’s unrest overseas — the seas themselves aren’t very calm — and one couple is thinking about having a child. Lungs is a smart and funny drama that follows a couple through the surprising lifecycle of their relationship, as they grapple with questions of family and change, hope, betrayal, happenstance, and the terrible pain that you can only cause the people you love.

Hearts of Hope - Paint with a Purpose

Hearts of Hope is a nonprofit organization that paints ceramic hearts and gives them out to various groups and organizations in need of hope, encouragement, or thanks for what they do or have done. The hearts are made here at Sterling House in Stratford and kiln fired at the Shelton Senior Center. Each month we call the community to join us to paint for a different cause or purpose. To see this month's purpose, please check us out on our Facebook page, Hearts of Hope Stratford, or for more information about our organization, check out our web page at www.ourheartsofhope.org

We meet on the second Tuesday of each month: Oct. 8, Nov. 12, Jan.14, Feb. 11, March 10, April 14, May 12, and June 9th

We ask for a $5 donation for each heart painted to help offset the cost of the heart, paint, packaging supplies, and delivery. Our signature Hearts of Hope necklaces and specialty ornament are also available for purchase. Credit cards are accepted.

We are an indoor event, but the event might be postponed due to snow or adverse winter weather conditions. We realize people have to drive to reach our event and we want our painters to be safe arriving to our event and returning home.
